Supervison of other professionals
Every person engaged professionally in counseling ought to avail themselves of any opportunity presented for professional supervision. Professional Supervision offers the professional counsellor the privilege of checking out with another experienced counsellor, the processes they have followed in individual cases, and thus they can gain new insights into their own professional development and case management.

Capabilities

Joan has worked as principal officer in agencies with professional staff whom she has supervised. Presently she offers supervision to chaplains, and the social outreach staff at West Gippsland's Hospital Community Services in Warragul.  Joan set up the Social Work Department at the Castlemaine District Hospital during the 1970's. She co-ordinated the International Year of the Child for Tasmania, and set up and managed a Respite Care Centre.
