Capabilities
Joan has worked as principal officer in agencies with professional staff whom
she has supervised. Presently she offers supervision to chaplains, and the social outreach
staff at West Gippsland's Hospital Community Services in Warragul. Joan set up the
Social Work Department at the Castlemaine District Hospital during the 1970's. She
co-ordinated the International Year of the Child for Tasmania, and set up and managed a
Respite Care Centre.
